Nickelodeon (also known as Nick) is a cable television channel owned by MTV Networks, a division of Viacom. It was founded in 1977 under the original name of Pinwheel, a name used until 1981. Currently airs in several countries of America and Europe as well as in Australia, Africa and Asia, only two blocks having different television: Nick at Nite and Nick Hits (weekend broadcast in Latin America). The chain's target audience ranges between 7 and 17 years of age.
